Submission Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in submitting artwork for Together25, an exhibition dedicated to showcasing artwork from those touched by addiction. We believe that art can be a powerful tool for healing and self-discovery, and we are excited to provide a platform for artists to share their journeys through storytelling. 

  1. Submissions should align with the themes of addiction, recovery, and healing from trauma. They may also align with themes of resilience, self-expression, personal growth, and hope. We welcome a broad range of interpretations, perspectives, and mediums that reflect diverse experiences and emotions. We believe that art can be a powerful tool for expression, connection, and personal growth.

  2. Together25 is open to individuals who have been touched by addiction either personally or through relationships.

  3. There is no age requirement.

  4. We accept a variety of visual art mediums, including but not limited to paintings, drawings, photography, digital art, sculptures, poetry, spoken word, music, and mixed media. Feel free to experiment with different materials to convey your story.

  5. The deadline for submissions is February 21st. Late submissions cannot be accepted.

  6. Artists can submit their information through our online submission form. Please ensure that all required information is provided accurately.

  7. Physical submissions: These will need to be delivered to Whitman College, Reid Campus Center at the intersection of Boyer Ave & S Park St on February 27, 2025. We will connect with each artist to set up a time. If you are unable to bring the artwork to us, we may be able to pick up and return the items.

  8. Optional. Along with your artwork, you may submit a brief artist statement that provides context to your piece and shares how your journey of addiction, trauma, or recovery is reflected in your work. 

  9. Artists have the option to remain anonymous or use an alternate name. If you choose to do so, please let us know in your submission.

  10. Artists do not need to attend the event but are encouraged to join us if possible. 

  11. We reserve the right to deny any artwork not appropriate for the event. Selection will be based on relevance to the theme of Together25.

  12. Together25 will take place at Whitman College, Reid Center Ballroom, Thursday, February 27th, 6:30 - 8:00 pm. The event is child-friendly. 

  13. Artists have the option to share their contact information with attendees who are interested in the artist's work. Please note the artwork is NOT for sale at this event. 

  14. Artists are limited to no more than three art submissions.

Directrices para la presentación de obras

Gracias por su interés en presentar obras de arte para Together25, una exposición dedicada a mostrar obras de arte de personas afectadas por la adicción. Creemos que el arte puede ser una poderosa herramienta para la curación y el autodescubrimiento, y estamos muy contentos de ofrecer una plataforma para que los artistas compartan sus viajes a través de la narración. 

  1. Las obras presentadas deben estar en consonancia con los temas de la adicción, la recuperación y la curación de traumas. Damos la bienvenida a una amplia gama de interpretaciones, perspectivas y medios que reflejen las diversas experiencias de las personas en el camino hacia la recuperación.

  2. Together25 está abierto a personas que han sido afectadas por la adicción, ya sea personalmente o a través de relaciones.

  3. No hay requisitos de edad.

  4. Aceptamos una variedad de medios de arte visual, incluyendo pero no limitado a pinturas, dibujos, fotografía, arte digital, esculturas, poesía, palabra hablada, música y medios mixtos. Siéntase libre de experimentar con diferentes materiales para transmitir su historia.

  5. El plazo de presentación finaliza el 21 de febrero. No se tendrán en cuenta los envíos fuera de plazo.

  6. Los artistas pueden enviar su información a través de nuestro formulario de presentación en línea, que estará disponible en nuestro sitio web. Asegúrese de que toda la información requerida es correcta.

  7. Envíos físicos: Deberán entregarse en el Whitman College, Reid Campus Center, en la intersección de Boyer Ave y S Park St, el martes 27 de febrero (se recogerán y devolverán).

  8. Junto con su obra de arte, por favor envíe una breve declaración de artista que proporciona contexto a su pieza y comparte cómo su viaje de la adicción, el trauma o la recuperación se refleja en su trabajo. (no es obligatorio)

  9. Los artistas tienen la opción de permanecer en el anonimato o utilizar un nombre alternativo. Si decide hacerlo, indíquelo en su envío.

  10. No es necesario que los artistas asisten al acto, pero se les anima a que nos acompañen si es posible. 

  11. Nos reservamos el derecho de rechazar cualquier obra que no sea apropiada para el acto. La selección se basará en la relevancia del tema de Together25/Juntos25.

  12. Together25/Juntos25 tendrá lugar en Whitman College, Reid Center Ballroom, el martes 27 de febrero, de 18:30 a 20:00.

  13. Los artistas tienen la opción de compartir su información de contacto con los asistentes que estén interesados en la obra del artista. Tenga en cuenta que las obras NO están a la venta en este evento. 

  14. Los artistas no podrán presentar más de tres obras.
