Submission Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in submitting artwork for a Together Event, an exhibition dedicated to showcasing artwork from those touched by addiction. We believe that art can be a powerful tool for healing and self-discovery, and we are excited to provide a platform for artists to share their journeys through storytelling.

  1. Submissions should align with the themes of addiction, recovery, and healing from trauma. They may also align with themes of resilience, self-expression, personal growth, and hope. We welcome a broad range of interpretations, perspectives, and mediums that reflect diverse experiences and emotions. We believe that art can be a powerful tool for expression, connection, and personal growth.

  2. Together26 is open to individuals who have been touched by addiction either personally or through relationships.

  3. There is no age requirement.

  4. We accept a variety of visual art mediums, including but not limited to paintings, drawings, photography, digital art, sculptures, poetry, spoken word, music, and mixed media. Feel free to experiment with different materials to convey your story.

  5. The deadline for submissions is January 20, 2026. Late submissions cannot be accepted.

  6. Artists can submit their information through our online submission form. Please ensure that all required information is provided accurately.

  7. Physical submissions: These will need to be delivered to Whitman College, Reid Campus Center at the intersection of Boyer Ave & S Park St on January 23, 2026. 8. Optional. Along with your artwork, you may submit a brief artist statement that provides context to your piece and shares how your journey of addiction, trauma, or recovery is reflected in your work.

  9. Artists have the option to remain anonymous or use an alternate name. If you choose to do so, please let us know in your submission.

  10. Artists do not need to attend the event, but are encouraged to join us if possible.

  11. We reserve the right to deny any artwork not appropriate for the event. Selection will be based on relevance to the theme of Together25.
